CORONAVIRUS – IHG BUSINESS UPDATE

In support of the global effort to control the Coronavirus, IHG will be strictly following advice from Chinese, UK and relevant international authorities.

The specific impact of this advice on our China operations is as follows:

  • Our Shanghai office will remain closed until at least 10th February 2020.
  • All physical meetings in China (both internal and external) have been canceled until at least the end of February. Our focus will be on communication via voice and video calls.
  • Travel, by any international based IHG staff, to China has been suspended. There are currently no international staff in Shanghai but they remain available to manage and support remotely. This will be reviewed at the end February at the earliest.

It is not clear at this time what the impact will be on our capability or response times but we will do our best to continue to provide a high quality service while prioritising the health and well-being of our, suppliers, our staff, our clients and their families.

Shanghai Office Update

Following the coronavirus outbreak, on the advice of the Shanghai Government the IHG Shanghai office will be closed until at least 10th February 2020.

Our colleagues in Shanghai are well and will continue to follow local advice.

 There will be no IHG international visits to China until at least the end of February 2020 when the situation will be reviewed.

 

IHG send heartfelt condolences to the people of Oman

It is with great sadness that we learnt of the passing of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said. IHG takes this opportunity to send our heartfelt condolences to the people of Oman. Our thoughts and prayers are with them at this sad time. The Government of Oman have announced a three day period of National mourning in Oman starting tomorrow. As such all offices in Oman in the public and private sectors have been asked to close until Wednesday 15th January 2020, which we respect.
