Corporate Social Responsibility Policy
International Hospitals Group recognises that its ethical, social and economic responsibilities are integral to its business success. International Hospitals Group aim to demonstrate these responsibilities through their actions and corporate policies.
The senior management team is responsible for these policies and dedicates time and resources to implement them, but it is ideas from and the active support of all the employees of International Hospitals Group that make the successful implementation of these policies possible.
International Hospitals Group’s policy is to be open, honest and have a positive impact on each of its stakeholders including its customers,employees, suppliers, business partners, the communities that it operates in and society as a whole.
The support that International Hospotals Group has decided to provide has been determined after reviewing:
a) the commercial activities and skills within the group’s business units
b) its historic charitable relationships and community work since the mid 1960s
c) the geographical location of its activities.
Specifically, International Hospitals Group supports:
Local communities where IG hasbusiness activities with the aim of improving general health, wellness, mental health, fitness, safety and security as well as historical preservation initiatives
Initiatives to improve cultural links, communication and understanding between people living in the UK and other countries around the world where International Hospitals Group operates
Initiatives to improve national sports and esports organisations
Specific examples of the kind of support provided:
- Direct financial support.
- Offering International Hospitals Group facilities and services at a reduced or no cost basis for not-for-profit community groups or charities to sell as part of their fund raising activities.
- Providing International Hospitals Group team members to support CSR projects.
- Combination of the above.
Specific examples of the charity, community and other groups that International Hospitals Group has supported in the past decade are:
Sports Aid, The Eyeless Trust, The Royal Blind Society, Vision, The Variety Club, Help for Heroes, Make a Wish Foundation UK.
International Hospitals Group has also supported local community and school projects in Ghana as well as providing humanitarian assistance to the Ghana Government as part of its response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
